Oh, how I love souvenirs

Guess who got a Faberge Egg?!?! I'm very excited because I've wanted one for a very long time. Love it. It's beautiful. Can't wait until I have a nice enough piece of jewelry (aka a big fat diamond ring) to put in it. Don't worry...it was only 11,990....Czech crowns. But that price looks scary, doesn't it. Love you all!

The reason for the lack of posts

Hello to everyone back at home! I'm having a wonderful trip! So, the reasons that I haven't posted anything on the blog yet:
1. The chances to use the internet are slim and rare.
2. My camera was stolen in Rome, so all my pictures from Greece through Rome are no longer in existence and I've had nothing to post.
3. I'm too freaking tired at night to even contemplate posting something on a blog.
4. The few times I did log in to my blog, it's in a different language that I can't read (like Greek or Czech) and I can't even guess which one to choose to make a new post.
5. That's really it.

So, this blog will be more of a blog once I come home and have my pictures, and gather pictures from the group (we have a fileshare site set up online) and actually have something to show. Anyway, I love you all, and will have pictures on here soon!

So, about the title...

For those of you who are not a part of my family, or who have never watched the British Comedy "As Time Goes By", here's the story. One of the main characters from the show writes a book (which turns out to be a total flop) titled "My Life In Kenya." While this trip will not be a flop, it just seemed the perfect name for my blog. No. I'm not actually going to Kenya.
